As an entrepreneur, your attitude towards everything
needs to be positive because your attitude is like a FLAT tire. If you don’t
change it, you can never go anywhere.
During my entrepreneurship session at Web & InternetSeminar by Empower Ghanaians/Olamosh.net, I told the participants that, about
80% of the people that will patronize your product will do so because of your
attitude and personality and not because your products is the best in the
market.
Having a positive attitude radiates confidence, love,
respect, kindness, warmth and power. A bad attitude casts down everything and
spreads all imaginable negative emotion.
Do you think the seamstress/tailor next to your
house or right there in your street did not dream BIG the way you are dreaming
NOW? You must be a joker!
Yes! She has spent 30years in that small shop STILL
dreaming to have store in Osu, Labone, East Legon and other high profile places
BUT do you ever imagine WHY She still remain in that small store? Simple, it’s
because of her ATTITUDE. She refused to acquire the right knowledge to move her
to next level in the industry as an entrepreneur.
Most of the fashion school will not teach you business
side of the industry; their focus is on you being that SUPER TAILOR or may be
later DESIGNER but not FASHION ENTREPRENEUR. And because of that, you will end
up not financially stable. Living in your dream house will become a nightmare;
you will only eat at your favourite restaurant in your dream and the worst of
it, you will be irrelevant and not be respected among the family because nobody
wants you to pull them down.
